Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton has been in the public eye for the last 16 years and her public record begins and ends with her past crimes and corrupt behavior. Judicial Watch has followed her activity on the political scene ever since her involvement in various scandals became public knowledge.

In 2009, Hillary Clinton was nominated by President Barack Obama and approved by the Senate to serve as the Secretary of State in violation of the Emoluments Clause of the U.S. Constitution. Judicial Watch filed suit on behalf of a State Department employee in the belief that she is constitutionality ineligible to serve as Secretary of State because the pay for that office was increased while she was serving in Congress.

The purpose of "Hillary Watch" is to closely monitor Hillary Clinton activities and filings for any irregularities and reporting violations. Judicial Watch will take action should any problems be discovered. (Judicial Watch has also monitoring other presidential candidates with ethical issues, including Barack Obama, Bill Richardson, Rudolph Giuliani, and John McCain.)

"Judicial Watch does not support nor endorse candidates and Hillary has every right to run for office, but Judicial Watch has every right to ensure she is held accountable to the rule of the laws," said JW President Tom Fitton. "Hillary is free to run for president. But Americans are free to ask the tough questions and to hold her to account for her past crimes and ethical transgressions."
