Watchdog Publishes New Special Report Examining 8,864 Adverse Event Reports Detailing Safety Concerns

Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, today released a report based on new documents obtained from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act, detailing reports of adverse reactions to the vaccination for human papillomavirus (HPV), Gardasil. The adverse reactions include 10 deaths since September, 2007. (The total number of death reports is at least 18 and as many as 20.) The FDA also produced 140 “serious” reports (27 of which were categorized as “life threatening”), 10 spontaneous abortions and six cases of Guillain-Barre Syndrome – all since January 2008. Adverse reports excerpts include:

  • Information has been received...concerning a 20 year old female with no medical history reported, who on 01-APR-2008 was vaccinated with a dose of Gardasil....The patient died four days after...patient sought unspecified medical attention. An autopsy was performed which ruled out suicide and anything suspicious. The cause of death is currently unknown. VAERS ID: 310262-1 (D)
  • Information has been received…concerning a 23-year-old female…who on 31-JAN-2008 was vaccinated with her 1st dose of Gardasil...the patient experienced anaphylactic shock 2 minutes after vaccination characterized by a brief loss of consciousness...respiratory arrest, eyes rolled upwards, blurred vision and greyish skin tone...Anaphylactic shock was considered to be immediately life-threatening. VAERS ID: 304739-1 (S)
  • Cold sweat, Fall, Foaming at mouth, Grand mal convulsion, Immediate post-injection reaction....Pt [patient, 14-year-old female] received vaccine, took 6 steps, fell to the ground unconscious and had a 60 sec grand mal seizure then regained consciousness. [Blood pressure] after seizure 60/40 pale clammy skin. [Patient] had bit her tongue and had foam around her mouth. VAERS ID: 305259-1 (S)
  • Information has been received from a physician concerning a female patient who on an unknown date was vaccinated with a dose of Gardasil. Subsequently, the patient experienced a coma and is now paralyzed. At the time of this report, the patient's outcome was unknown. VAERS ID: 303188-1

“Given all the questions about Gardasil, the best public health policy would be to reevaluate its safety and to prohibit its distribution to minors. In the least, governments should rethink any efforts to mandate or promote this vaccine for children,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

Judicial Watch had previously obtained 3,461 reports relating to Gardasil. On June 10, 2008, Judicial Watch received a compact disk from the FDA with a new total of 8,864 Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) records. These documents and the new Judicial Watch report, entitled “Examining the FDA’s HPV Vaccine Records: Detailing the Approval Process, Side-Effects, Safety Concerns & Marketing Practices of a Large Scale Health Experiment,” are available at www.judicialwatch.org.

Gardasil

2.2 million girls across Australia have in the past 15 months received the Gardasil injections as part of a national immunisation program, including my 2 daughters aged 26 and 23 respectively, there have been no deaths or serious complications. I as a mother will do everything in my power to make sure my children are protected as much as possible and I cannot understand your narrow minded opinions and fear mongering. Would you rather your daughters died of cervical cancer?

In light of the fact that

In light of the fact that Australia is NOT run by the bush administration... Gardasil immunization in Australia probably doesn't include all the ingredients that are put here in the US. So let's thank God that your government actually cares about their people and protects them.

However, I must add that being that here in the US - there are way too many deaths associated with this vaccination - maybe it's me, but I rather put FEAR in my daughter and explain the SEVERE, IRREVERSIBLE consequences (aside of normal STDs - now... CANCER) of engaging in unprotected sex rather than taking a RISK with odds of a 50/50 shot of experiencing a fatal adverse reaction for some "mandatory" vaccination...

Gardasil

First , where is the documents for the 2.2 million girls, did you pull that out of the hat.
second , no deaths or serious complications , how would you know, Government own by pharms will not allow that information to be publish . Did you research all the young women's deaths in your country ? Is that No young women have died in your country.
As a mother will do everything! Did you research any vaccine as does it work?
As of this date no vaccine has undergo a double blind test. Not one has been proven to work.
I have read that narrow mindedness and fear is on your part. The fear that your daughters will get cervical cancer.
Do you feel safe that you did something? Allowing unproven vaccine to be given.
Can you tell all the ingredients and contaminates are in a vaccines ie chicken cancer virus that by pass the natural immune defenses.

Gardasil Complications and Deaths

So what pharmaceutical company do you work for, Anonymous?

Women don't die from cervical cancer. Regular pap smears show any changes from HPV LONG BEFORE you could actually get cancer. If you believe what you wrote, then you are uneducated about cervical cancer.

"Women don't die from

"Women don't die from cervical cancer". I think you might want to look into this further. I work at a national cancer hospital and I can tell you, women DO DIE for cervical cancer. Pap Smears are not foolproof; in fact, Mayo Clinic suggests that one in every 20 tests produce false-negative results. (I do not work for Mayo Clinic, by the way). Also this statement from Mayo Clinic should validate the falseness in what you wrote. "Detecting cervical cancer early with a Pap smear gives you a greater chance at a cure, should cervical cancer be detected."
“Greater chance at a cure”—women do die from cervical cancer---even those who have annual pap smears.

gardasil

Here in the U.S. it is estimated that at any given time there are 20 million people who have HPV. Healthy immune systems will clear the infection for most people. Of these 20 million people only 10,000 will be diagnosed with invasive cervical cancer. Of that 10,000 we are down to less than 4,000 deaths per year. Between 1955 and 1992 (I believe these are the dates) cervical cancer deaths decreased by 74% and they continue to drop at a rate of 4% per year. This decrease has occurred without the Gardasil vaccine. Of the cervical cancer deaths half have never had a pap test.

If Merck truly wanted to help people they would put the millions of dollars into healthcare rather than vaccines, but then they wouldn't be raking in billions on their investment. Merck's "one less" advertising slogan is meant to instill a sense of panic in mothers.

Governor Rick Perry of Texas was the first to attempt a school mandate for this vaccine and ironically enough his state is responsible for 10% of all U.S. cervical cancer deaths. Inadequate healthcare is responsible for these deaths. Vaccines are nothing more than a band-aid on our failing healthcare system.

History has shown that many diseases were already on a decline when vaccinations for them were introduced but the pharmacuetical companies take the credit and hope that we're too stupid to do the research.

Cervical Cancer

Narrow minded opinions and fear mongering? I truly do not understand why you are saying that. Cervical cancer is diagnosed via a pap smear, and easily cured if diagnosed soon enough. I have not heard of many deaths from cervical cancer. On the other hand, the HPV screening is superfluous and benefits the maker of the test primarily.

Gardasil is not for anyone I love. The dangers associated with it are worse than cervical cancer. Regular pap smears are the way to prevent death from cervical cancer.

Gardasil

My Australian friend, the world expert on effects of vaccines, dr. Viera Scheibner sent in February 2008 a letter to the editor of the Medical Observer.
I quote:

"In “Vaccination hesitation” (MO 22.2.2008), GPs are encouraged to point to the available evidence, not anecdotal hearsay. The available facts are tens of thousands of girls globally developing the same symptoms after Gardasil: syncope, anaphylaxis, pain, fatigue, seizures, ascending paralysis and deaths from heart failure or blood clots. Where are the reports of these occurring out of the blue before vaccination?

Observed reactions are facts; assurances of effectiveness and safety are unsubstantiated hearsay. In pre-licensure tests, observed adverse effects are usually judged unrelated to the tested vaccines, and the PI indicates the same here. Yet the reactions fulfill the benchmark, Bradford-Hill’s nine criteria for causality, and the TGA admits that the Gardasil reaction rate is the same as with other vaccines. All are harming healthy recipients.

If polysorbate 80 can cause infertility in rats, it can in humans, just like another ingredient, borax. Leading researcher Diane Harper admits that cervical cancer is a possible Gardasil effect.

People need not justify refusing Gardasil; refusal carries no proven danger, consent does. Hippocrates said “First, do NO harm”, yet over 500 cases of adverse effects were reported in Australia last year. Adjusting for the admitted notoriously low reporting rate, the actual number may have been over 50000, or 1 in 16 recipients, against the unproven hearsay of preventing less than 1 death in 70000 women per year."

From my own research I conclude that the HPV-vaccin will cause sterilisation -- a fact which I checked wit dr. David Ayoub and dr. Sherri Tenpenny and to which they both agreed.

I rest my case...

susan's reply

Susan - we all want to protect our children. I do not think that is the center of this debate. The problem is that caring mom's like yourself are not being told the truth. Next time you go to your doctor please ask he/she if HPV is the only way to get cervical cancer and what percent of the people getting the vaccine actually get HPV anyway. Please ask he/she how long and on how many people was the vaccine tested before your little girls got the shot? The numbers would shock you. In my opinion possibly killing your child for a vaccine that is so far from being needed based on the numbers is NOT protecting your child. Please do not judge others...just remember they think YOU are being negligent.

The US bear market has affected dozens of companies, many in the financial sector. US consumers have seen their disposable income decreased substantially and they are unable to refinance their homes to get some needed relief as the mortgage market has tightened. Inflation with respect to energy has really hurt commuters as we have seen gas prices shoot through the roof, and they have had no other option but to trade in their SUVs and squeeze their two kids and family dog into a Prius.

Gardasil

Susan what a shame you dont take the time to investigate the vaccine. You apparently choose to believe everything your doctor tells you or you see on a Gardasil commercial. No one really knows if Gardasil works, for how long, and at what rate, the testing wont be completed until 2009. Until then, your daughters are taking part in a huge medical experiment. Most HPV infections clear on their own. Condoms can prevent up to 70% of the infections. I would rather my children not die or be paralyzed due to an unproven, experimental vaccine.

Gardasil FACTS

I'm surprised how many people are throwing out questions about safety and efficacy of Gardasil when obviously they themselves don't know the facts. So let me help you all out and give you the facts.

First: The clinical trials with Gardasil included 20,541 girls and young women between the ages of 16-26. Since Gardasil was released to the public over 2 years ago, over 5 million girls and young women in the U.S. have been vaccinated (you may visit www.cdc.gov to confirm this).

Second: YES, HPV is the ONLY way to get cervical cancer. Gardasil protects against 4 strains of HPV: 6,11,16 & 18. There are about 30 strains of HPV that can infect the genital tract. Of those, about 15 strains can cause cancer. Among THOSE strains, types 16 & 18 are responsible for 70% of ALL cervical cancers, as well as 50% of all mid-grade cervical dysplasias. HPV types 6 & 11 are responsible for 90% of genital warts and 35-50% of low-grade dysplasias.

Third: The efficacy of Gardasil for preventing diseases caused by HPV types 16 & 18 is 100%! The efficacy for protection against genital warts is 99%! Efficacy against all grades of cervical dysplasias caused by the 4 relevant HPV types is 95%!

Fourth: Yes, even with that medical miracle we call the PAP Smear, nearly 4,000 women in this country continue die every year from cervical cancer. In addition, the treatment for cervical HPV can result in an inability to carry a child to full term, partial or total hysterectomy, treatment with chemotherapy and radiation, and multiple follow up visits to the gynecologist.

Fifth: The 5-year efficacy data was published last year, which showed NO breakthrough disease in vaccinated subjects. It also showed that Gardasil demonstrated a very strong immune memory response, which means that after 5 years, when the HPV antigen was re-introduced, the antibody response was as high or higher than what it was immediately following completion of vaccination. To present a handfull of unproven, anecdotal ghost stories about alleged consequences of Gardasil vaccination is absolute fear mongering at it's best.

Lastly, take a look at the ingredients in this vaccine. It contains: Viral-like HPV proteins (these are proteins formed to look like the virus, but contain NO viral DNA and are powerless to cause any disease), an aluminum adjuvant, which is the same adjuvant used in the Hepatitis B vaccine that we've used in this country for almost 30 years, some sodium chloride (saline), the amino acid L-Histidine, polysorbate, sodium borate and water. There are no antibiotics and no preservatives.

PLEASE, get the facts and stop participating in this foundation-less gossip. It's ridiculous to think that the only women who die of cervical cancer in this country are the town hookers. Your daughters can be abstinent until they are married, but if they marry a man who is not a virgin, then they are still at risk. All these scare tactics do is prevent people from making educated health choices.

Your second "Fact" is

Your second "Fact" is incorrect in which you state that HPV is the only way to get cervical cancer. HPV is not the only way to get cervical cancer. Here is the answer to that question as it is posted on the Mayo Clinic website:

"Although most cervical cancers are caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) — a sexually transmitted infection — some are not."

You also use the word "are" in many of your "facts", even Merck's own advertisements uses the word "may". As in may be responsible for, and may protect against.

This same information can be found at numerous other cancer related and medical information websites.

"All these scare tactics do is prevent people from making educated health choices."

The only scare tactics are the ones used by Merck to convince people like you that if you love and care about your daughters you will get them vaccinated. If Merck cares so much why aren't they a non-profit agency? Yes, it is true that they spend a whole bunch of money to get to the point of releasing a vaccine; but they get a windfall on their investment. Why aren't they selling drugs and vaccines at a price that allow them to break even if in fact their motivation is "protecting". Why aren't they footing the bill for free clinics where females can go to get healthcare and education in female health topics? Because they wouldn't get rich.

Myth: Gardisil protects

Myth: Gardisil protects against cervical cancer by vaccinating against HPV.
Fact: There are over 100 different types (strains) of HPV, and about 40 of these cause genital infections. Of those 40, about half can cause cancer, and some can cause genital warts. The four types of the virus that the vaccine prevents cause 90 percent of genital warts (types 6 and 11) and 70 percent of cervical cancer (types 16 and 18). So, even though the vaccine only targets a few strains of the virus, those few strains are responsible for causing most cases of cervical cancer and genital warts. Some mistakenly believe that the vaccine prevents 70 percent of HPV. This is not true. Others mistakenly believe that the vaccine is only 70 percent effective. This, also, is not true. The vaccine is extremely effective, but only as it relates to preventing those four types of the virus. While the vaccine may stop two cancer-causing strains of HPV, an article in The New England Journal of Medicine pointed out that blocking these strains of the virus may allow other cancerous HPV strains to fill the void. If this happens, the overall decrease in cervical cancer would be minimal. {Kahn, “Vaccination as a Prevention Strategy for Human Papillomavirus-Related Diseases,” Journal of Adolescent Health 37: 6S (2005): S10-6; Munoz, et al., “Chapter 1: HPV in the Etiology of Human Cancer,” Vaccine 24 (S3) S1-S10 (2006). G. F. Sawaya and K. Smith-McCune, “HPV Vaccination—More Answers, More Questions,” The New England Journal of Medicine 356:19 (10 May 2007): 1991-1993.}

Myth: Condoms prevent 70% of HPV infections.
Fact: Condoms provide NO protection against HPV simply because HPV can be transmitted as easily as hand-to-genital contact.

"In 1999, the National Cancer Institute reported to Congress that "Condoms are ineffective against HPV" and that "additional research efforts by NCIL on the effectiveness of condoms in preventing HPV transmission are not warranted."

On October 3, 2000, the "Cervical Cancer Public Awareness Resolution" was presented before the US House of Representatives. In it, Congressman Tom Coburn, who had a full-time practice in obstetrics and family medicine, said, "Along with that comes the very sad fact that our institutions that we should be trusting in this area have failed us. The Center for Disease Control has failed, because the full name of the Center for Disease Control is the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The NIH has released a statement, as well as NCI, and on their Web site you can find that this disease is caused by human papilloma virus and that a condom fails to protect. We are so sold on this concept of 'safe sex' in this country that we refuse to accept the etiology and pathogenesis of this disease, and we refuse to be honest with the American public in that a condom cannot protect them from this. The thing that is exciting to me about this resolution coming up is it perhaps will have some honesty coming out of the institutions that are funded with the taxpayers' money in this country, both the NIH and the NCI, as well as the CDC."

Coburn added that they had a breast and cervical cancer treatment bill that was "being held up at this time on the basis of the Senate conferees not wanting to agree to the language in that in regards to HPV and cervical cancer." He pleaded to the Speaker of the House, " Mr. Speaker, I would like to ask the body that they would put pressure on their fellow Senators that they might accede to this. The fact is, the reason we have this awareness up is we want women to get treated. This is a disease that is absolutely curable. It is not like breast cancer; we cannot always cure breast cancer. This disease, if diagnosed properly and treated, is 100 percent curable. Knowledge and the fact that we are allowing a safe sex message of condoms preventing this disease to continue will do nothing but harm women....The fact is, it is harmful to women to let that lie continue."

Later that year, the United States Congress approved Public Law 106-554. This law directed the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and FDA to educate the public about HPV. Part of the bill required that educational material regarding STDs like HPV shall “contain medically accurate information regarding the effectiveness or lack of effectiveness of condoms in preventing the STD the materials are designed to address.” The CDC was given until December 21, 2003 to issue a report “including a detailed summary of the significant findings and problems and best strategies to prevent future infections, based upon available science.”

December 21st came and went, and nothing was done. Indiana Representative Souder (the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Criminal Justice, Drug Policy, and Human Resources), pressed them on it and they finally released the January 2004 report to Congress: “Prevention of Genital Human Papillomavirus Infection.” In it, the CDC admitted, “The available scientific evidence is not sufficient to recommend condoms as a primary prevention strategy [against HPV]”. However, it remains to be seen if the CDC will actually implement an effective public policy to inform Americans of this.

On February 12, 2004, Rep. Souder wrote a letter to the Commissioner of the FDA, Mark McClellan, M.D., Ph.D., asking him to re-examine the misleading information given on condom labels. In this letter, he reminded the FDA of the findings in the CDC report the previous month, and wrote, “A meta-analysis reviewing ‘the best available data describing the relationship between condoms and HPV-related conditions’ from the past two decades published in the November 29, 2002 edition of the journal Sexually Transmitted Diseases found, ‘There was no consistent evidence of a protective effect of condom use on HPV DNA detection, and in some studies, condom use was associated with a slightly increased risk for these lesions. Three years after Public Law 106-554 was signed by President Clinton, condom labels still do not warn consumers about the lack of protection against HPV infection. The Subcommittee urges FDA to act on the release of CDC’s HPV prevention report and immediately relabel condoms to alert consumers that condoms do not provide effective protection against HPV infection.” However, Dr. McClellan remained the commissioner of the FDA for only a month after this letter was written, so not much was done under his watch.

Since then, the FDA has not done a great deal. They said that they’re “certainly committed to looking at this and making the requisite changes.”(1) They’ve added that they’re “preparing new guidance on condom labeling,” “exploring new opportunities to best inform condom users about important limitations of the device,” and “proposing to amend the classification regulations for condoms.”(2) In other words, condom labels still haven't changed. Dr. Tom Coburn, who is a physician, congressman, and co-chairman of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV and AIDS said, “The FDA has been dragging its feet for three and a half years.”(3)

Opponents of abstinence education disagree with Coburn. For example, Henry Waxman (D- CA), argues "we want to be sure that we do not end up with an unintended effect of confusing people about the situations when condoms do work—in HIV transmission to name only one—and actually reduce their use." Furthermore, he added, condom labels that "include information on HPV can result in so much information on such a small package that it reduces the effectiveness of any information." Waxman apparently thinks that self-control is an unrealistic option for teens. He assumes that if teens knew the truth about condoms, they'd just throw them away and continue having sex.

More recently, in June 2005, Senator Coburn placed a hold on President Bush’s nomination for a new federal drug agency chief, hoping it would force the FDA to enforce a federal condom labeling law that requires all condom packaging to warn consumers that condoms are not effective in preventing HPV. Then, in September 2006, President Bush asked National Cancer Institute Director Andrew von Eschenbach to serve as acting agency commissioner of the FDA. Prior to his confirmation hearing, Dr. Eschenbach was asked if he would ensure that condom labels would be updated. He displayed his familiarity with the ineffectiveness of the condom, and added that it may offer some risk reduction for HPV related diseases. He then added that in November of 2005, the FDA drafted a document with proposed language for a new condom label. As a result of this document, Eschenbach said, "FDA received roughly 400 comments on the proposed rule. Almost all comments suggested the proposed labeling language was confusing and difficult for consumers to understand. As a result, the Agency intends to undertake additional labeling comprehension studies to help insure that the final labeling recommendations issued by the Agency are understandable to users."

Regarding the proposed new condom labels, Senator Coburn remarked, “In the five years it took the FDA to implement this law, over 27 million Americans have become infected with HPV, over 50,000 women have been diagnosed with invasive cervical cancer, and nearly 20,000 women have died from the disease. Despite these tragic numbers, very few Americans are still not aware of HPV or its link to cervical cancer and the FDA seems to be content with providing inconclusive claims of effectiveness that may endanger women be providing a false security against cervical cancer."

In November of 2006--six years after the law was created requiring medically accurate condom labels--nothing had changed. So, Senator Coburn requested an investigation by the Government Accountability office of the failure of the FDA in this matter. In it, he stated, "I am requesting that GAO investigate the failure of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to comply with the provision of the same law that requires the agency to 'reexamine existing condom labels that are authorized pursuant to the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to determine whether the labels are medically accurate regarding the overall effectiveness or lack of effectiveness of condoms in preventing sexually transmitted diseases, including HPV.' It has been six years since this law was signed and FDA has yet to issue guidance to ensure condom labels meet this criteria. As you noted in your letter, 'Section 317P of the Public Health Service Act addresses human papillomavirus specifically.' Yet, condom labels do not currently mention the lack of effectiveness of condoms in protecting against HPV infection, which has been conclusively documented over the past decade."

This battle has been raging for years, without ever garnering the attention of the liberal media. When the CDC report on HPV was released, among major media outlets, only the Washington Post mentioned anything about it. In August of 2001, groups representing over 10,000 doctors accused the CDC for covering up the government’s own research about condom infectiveness (in particular, the NIH report). In the statement, which was released by the Physicians Consortium, former Congressman Tom Coburn, M.D., Congressman Dave Weldon, M.D. and others, it stated that the CDC has “systematically hidden and misrepresented vital medical information regarding the ineffectiveness of condoms to prevent the transmission of STDs. The CDC's refusal to acknowledge clinical research has contributed to the massive STD epidemic.”

The Physicians Consortium claimed that the CDC not only failed to educate the public about their findings, but tried to conceal the paper and delay its release. They added that the CDC demanded revisions of the report in order to cause “unwarranted confusion and misinformation to what otherwise is a clear-cut repudiation of condom effectiveness.”

Despite knowing about HPV and condom ineffectiveness, the CDC remained quiet. In a NIH "Consensus Statement" on Cervical Cancer, it was reported that "The data on the use of barrier methods of contraception to prevent the spread of HPV...does not support this as an effective method of prevention." That was in 1996! The CDC’s silence has been so inexcusable that the Physicians Consortium held a Capitol building press conference calling for the resignation of the (then) Director of the CDC, Dr. Jeffrey P. Koplan. Odds are, you didn’t see that on the evening news.

In a nutshell, that’s the battle that’s going on."

Experimenting on our daughters

My daughter is 14 and the last time I took her in to the doctor I was put under severe pressure to give her this vaccine. Thankfully for my daughter I have years of experience resisting the push to vaccinate my children after my oldest had numerous reactions and is now autistic. The doctor came so incredibly close to telling me that the only decent thing as a parent to do was allow her to be shot up w/ this new, not properly tested, vaccine. I am grateful I was able to resist!

"Protecting" Children

If you want to get away with murder (literally) just say you are doing it "in the best interests of the child."

If you don't believe me, google "CPS" and "corruption", or "CPS" and "Organized Crime" or "CPS" and "Child Protection Industry".

CPS is the government body charged with "protecting" children. Yet AT LEAST five times more children die while in their "care" than if they were left with their biological parents.

If you are worried about HPV vaccine, you should know that this is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of how the government is destroying children, for profit.

From Experience

The pressure to get this vaccination is overwhelming. I'm 17 and I had the shot a year ago. My mother and I faced intense pressure from every doctor in the practice we go to. My sister was also encouraged to get the shots, even though she does not fit the criteria to receive them.

I know from experience how dangerous the adverse effects of this can be. One week after I was pushed into getting the first shot I was hospitalized with ventricular tachycardia, unreadable low blood pressure, abdominal pain, and extreme hypoglycemia. All of these symptoms, in addition the the unconsciousness that resulted from them mirror those of girls who have died or been permanently injured in relation to the vaccine.

I'd never had any health problems in the past. I'm deeply disturbed that Guardasil still on the market after seeing the emotional, physical, and financial strain my family has had faced because of my adverse reaction.

guardisil australia

Here are the facts for Australia. Apparently you did not look into the vaccine but done what you wrer told. Good thing your daughters are some of the lucky ones.As of july 8,08 The Sunday Telegraph reported 681 severe reactions to Guardisil, with 1/3 not yet recovered. These numbers are from up to Jan.30,08. Since the vaccine is still being pushed you can bet reactions are still happening. Who knows what those numbers are now. As with the US these were released because of the FOIA.

The Sunday Telegraph

The Sunday Telegraph newspaper - a quality source of information? I think not. So you believe "the facts" that a tabloid newspaper has to say, over evidence from double blind, randomised controlled trials (the gold standard in medical scientific evidence) that have shown the vaccine to be safe but also effective. I am a doctor, so you can believe me.

Also show me the solid evidence that these adverse events have any strong associations with the vaccination event - not just self-reported, anecdotal instances.

Judicial Watch - you should be ashamed of yourselves for spreading unsubstantiated evidence as truths in an effort to monger fear. "Because no one is above the law" - sounds like what you are doing is outside of the law. Live up to your own credo please.

Brief Point on HPV

I have a friend with HPV who had a rather bad case (and the doctors were unable to help her, despite using many hitech advanced expensive treatments including dumping liquid nitrogen on her, giving her a cream that gave her a miscarriage, seriously injuring her with laser surgery etc). Since that failed, they started giving her pap smears in preparation of the inevitable cervical cancer that was to follow.
Out of desperation she called me up to try an alternative treatment. I made her drink a little bit of 35% hydrogen peroxide every day, apply a colloidal silver to the areas where warts were, and use a rife machine, and the condition completely went away in 4 weeks (and has since then not returned).

Or to put things in a much plainer language; the debate around gardasil has been framed around the notion that
HPV is really bad, impossible to treat, and anything is justified to stop it, hence even if gardasil is "bad" it's justified to use.
However, that's somewhat false, since treatments already exist which are in the same degree of difficulty as taking antibiotics. As such, I think this entire gardasil debate is somewhat rediculous, and we should focus on simple effective treatments instead of fussing over expensive ones which mainly harm those exposed to them.

*note if someone plans on using a rife machine for curing hpv, it's extremely important to get a good quality one; most available are poorly built and do not work well.

The Untold Story of Merck's Vaccine

Read "Fatal Probe". Esp. chap. VII.

Excerpt:

Does the vaccine sound like good news? Not
if you buy into the physician-touted dormancy
theory. Where is the “common knowledge” that
HPV can remain dormant in a woman’s body for
30 years, or more? By basing the vaccine’s 100%
effectiveness in preventing HPV infection on the
fact that the vaccinated women did not develop
infection for up to 27 months, the study and all its
enthusiasts abandon the dormancy concept.

“…the vaccine was 100 percent
effective. Followed for 17 to 27 months, no
vaccinated women developed infections…
…The study will continue until all the
women have been tracked for four years.”

Obviously, the dormancy theory was
disregarded, scrubbed or dramatically
overlooked. The logical explanation is that the
dormancy theory is baseless and false. It is a
placating lie. It is suspected that, in the
excitement of the moment, and in true herd
mentality, pragmatism won the day.

But, whether HPV “may remain dormant,”
“can remain dormant,” “can remain dormant for
months, for years or for many years,” “usually
remains dormant,” “usually remains dormant
forever” or “can remain dormant in your system for the
rest of your life,” the question remains:

How can one justify their support for a
vaccine study that claims success after tracking
the subjects for up to 27 months – and plans to
abandon follow-up after 48 months – without any
mention of the dormancy theory if they indeed
believe in such a theory.

But, keep in mind, this is only and excerpt. I would
be glad to publish the entire MS here; however, I
assume that is not acceptable.

BTW, I'm not trying to sell a book here, folks...
just add a bit of common logic.

Gardisil

A much safer way to prevent HPV and resulting consequences would be abstinence until marriage, followed by faithfulness to your spouse.

Why mitigate the results of sin?

Gardasil

Its amazing what the FDA will approve without a reasonable period of test results.I have a ten year old daughter. I told the doctor on the last exam that I will not allow the shot. The doctor while strongly recommending it commented "since we did not live in an URBAN area the risk or concern is not as high". I was shocked.......ironically enough we are "BLACK" which makes me think its being heavily pushed in so called "URBAN AREAS" or minority neighborhoods. To that end, what if it long term its found years later to have sterilized young pre-pubesent girls? Can anyone spell "thaylidomide"? That drug was supposedly a cure for nausea in pregnant women. I say the sloggan "One Less" should be "NOT ONE MORE!!!!!"

Gardasil

Unfortunately they don't say what the incidence of adverse reaction was. For that we'd need to know how many doses had been delivered versus the number of adverse reactions. Maybe the incidence is in line with Flu, MMR, Tetanus, etc...or maybe it's orders of magnitude worse. There's no way to know because Judicial Watch only told part of the story. -Rod-

Gardasil harms

Guess I'm one of those people some doctors feel are really pushing the fear about Gardasil. My daughter is 22 years old and has always felt that sex was sacred, saving herself for marriage. She did not party or take drugs. She was pushed into taking the Gardasil shot while at our family physician's office not long after her 21st birthday. She was in very good health at that time, lifting weights, running wind sprints, hiking up to 6 or 7 miles each week, as well as doing aerobic exercise. She took no other vaccines during this period. Her life has become a living nightmare ever since!

She began having problems withing 24 hours of the first dose. Since we were uninformed about Gardasil adverse reactions, we didn't make the connection for several months, but I kept a journal of incidents and unusual events happeninig to her after the first fainting spell. She has suffered from severe pain in her limbs and back, followed by pressure in her head since the second injection; loss of use of her legs, along with numbness in them to the point she couldn't feel me massaging them for up to two hours. She has been unable to chew food (a result of the severe pain in her jaw) for many months ending up on a liquid diet in which she lost 18 precious lbs. of muscle and what little fat she carried. We have taken her to over 30 doctors, bouncing back and forth without help. Finally, after she was diagnosed with having had an adverse reaction to GARDASIL she was also diagnosed with muscle wasting, Low T7's, hypoglycemia, aluminum poisoning, loss of hair, one small seizure and gastrointestinal disorders. Her eyes have become quite sensitive to light also. We have used supplements including high protein drinks to bring her weight up. She was on PrevAcid to help with the gastrointestinal disorders until she had a very bad reaction to the polysorbate 80 in this medication. She has also reacted to the pain patches she was on.

Now she is able to hobble out to our family room, with help, from her bedroom once a day. It is a good thing her bedroom has a bathroom off of it as well as being right next to our family room or she would be bound to her bedroom permanently! She is being treated for chronic pain and depression from this pain - psychosamatic disorders have been ruled out by a psychiatrist.

Whether you are a doctor and belive in this new vaccine or just mearly giving an opinion, I know without a doubt that our daughter is the victim of GARDASIL! When I look at pictures of her before and after the vaccine my heart is wrenched to the point of despair. If only we had been told all of the facts before taking the vaccine she would not be in her current condition. And she wonders if she will ever be normal again. If only we had been informed...

Corporate Greed rules America

I am a 41 year old mother of 2 children. A 20 year old son and a 13 year old daughter. I was pressured last year to get my pre-pubescent daughter innoculated with this poison. I said "absolutely not, it has not even been tested correctly". The doctor didn't know what I meant. My daughter was about 75lb and under 5 feet tall, not even close to puberty yet.

I truly believe this is some type of human sterilization experiment. I work as an RN at an infertility clinic. I can't believe how many people have "unexplained" infertility. I also used to work in a pediatrician's office and administered these deadly vaccines, I was part of the problem and used to turn my nose up at those few parents who refused to vaccinate. I have now become part of that movement against immunizations.

Remember the experiments that were done on US servicemen with LSD, without their knowledge? Well folks, it's going on all around the world with little 2 month old infants and now with girls of childbearing age. What do you think the objective here is? Remember that the healthcare lobby, the big pharma lobby and the insurance lobby all want us to stay sick, so they profit........bottom line in a Capitalistic society. They have dumbed us down so much, but not quite enough yet. Keep reading, thinking and fighting for what is right or else we will all be doomed.

Peace, love and good health to all

What to do now?

I have read each of these comments and to be honest I can not decide who is more accurate. But what I fear most is my daughter has had the first shot, so what if I stop now? Better to continue with it or stop it all together. It does sound like alot of people have had adverse reactions but I find it odd that our country would just ignore it if in fact it was the vaccine that was causing this. Those are large numbers in such a short time. I had not heard of these reactions until recent from a friend or I would of researched it much better before hand.

RE: What To Do Now

Hi -just wanted to let you know we stopped our daughter's vaccine's mid-stream due to a severe reaction. It saved her life, but her life has never been the same. She suffers day-in and day-out. To get more info on what Gardasil can do go to Google.com and type in "Cynthia Janak - Journalist" Check out her last five reports on Gardasil, including "Gardasil Tragedies" This will give you some insight as to what most of us are not being told.
Good luck and God Bless

Just a word to the nit wit

Just a word to the nit wit from Australia. IDIOT ! Ya cant blame the Bush Administration for anyone getting Cancer. What does politics have in it anyway for allmighty sakes!!!

from my point of view

I find it interesting that from the comments that I have read, they are from mothers who do not have the condition, or from someone who knows someone else.

I have HPV.

I have had countless paps that have come up positive only to have my doctor perform a colposcopy. While neither one of these procedures are horrible, they are time consuming and uncomfortable. My dysplasia was always diagnosed as mild to medium. I began to feel that along with my annual pap, I should count on a follow-up colposcopy.

In 2005 my doctor found an area near my cervix that showed a high level of dysplasia. In May of '05 I underwent a "LEAP" procedure where a portion of my already incompetent cervix was removed. While paps are used as a tool, they are in no means perfect.

Did I mention that I have a pre-teen daughter?

I can try to teach my daughter (as well as my son) that they should wait for marriage. I cannot make those decisions for her/them. I can only pray that sex will be a decision and not an act that is forced on her/them. (What is the percentage that a woman will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime? I shudder to think, but I am not blind.)

Isn't it my job as a mother do to everything in my power to protect & teach my children? Along with self defense classes, shouldn't I protect my daughter? If I can help lessen her risk of developing cancer, shouldn't I? Isn't that why I make her use sun block? Please don't think that I am taking this as decision lightly as applying a lotion, but I should do what I can!

I thank you all for your posts. Because of all of your comments, I will need to do more research before I make a decision.
